Nisarga - Wings is a NisargaIndia project launched for differently-abled and Special people. This program is an attempt to give differently-abled people a chance to break their barriers through outdoor experiences and orient them towards making a career in eco-tourism and nature conservation activities. The main objectives of Nisarga - Wings are: - To encourage differently-abled people to participate in activities that are oriented towards Nature, Wildlife and adventure.
- To help / assist them in developing their over all personality through outdoor activities.
- To create / provide job opportunities for differently-abled people in the areas of eco-tourism, nature and wildlife conservation.
The project is executed through NISARGA GREEN FUND - a dedicated Annual Funding System of Nisarga Organisation for Nature & Wildlife Conservation activities and for promotion of Outdoor living. The Nisarga Green Fund operates under the sole purpose of giving back to the society what we all owed as individuals and as human beings. The NGF undertakes a variety of activities and projects like the Captive Elephant project, Rural Education projects and not to forget the mention, Wings! The main focus of these set of activities is to get people to participate in such activities and thus realise their responsibilities towards the society, towards wildlife and towards nature. PARASAILING for Differently-abled:
Nisarga-Wings was launched through a Parasailing program on 30th Aug 2007 & 1st Sept 2007. The program was a huge success with 80 participants taking part belonging to communities of Visually challeged, Hearing and Speech Impaired and also by an Autistic Child. The success was scripted in association with Department of Youth Services and Sports, Bangalore Urban and the Zilla panchayat. The program was possible due to an immense encouragement and participation by National Association for Blind and Sheela Kothwal School for Speech and Hearing impaired. The media played a major role in promoting the activity and taking all the efforts to the common man before and after the event. The success of Nisarga-Wings' first venture has given us a lot of confidence and a reason to push things forward a lot harder now. In that school of thought, we expect the following events should happen very soon... -

Any activity / project targetting the society at large cannot be executed by just a handful of individuals. It requires all the support and energy that the society can provide. We request people to come forward and assist the NGF initiatives in any and every manner they feel free about and wish to help with. Some of the ways by which you can help us are as follows: -

Come down to the field and help us in conducting an activity. -
Take up ownership of one / more / all of the sections of a project and execute it along with us. -
